Licensed to practice in South Carolina since 2018, Ross DuRant focuses on all aspects of civil litigation, including personal injury, slip and fall accidents, products liability, car accidents, and more. He also specializes in workers’ compensation and criminal defense, handling any legal matter that may arise in the courtroom.
A proud Murrells Inlet native and former St. James Shark, Ross excelled in football, basketball, and tennis, as well as in the classroom. He graduated Cum Laude from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a minor in Psychology, achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA and earning a spot on the President’s List seven out of eight semesters.
Ross went on to graduate Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law, landing himself on the Dean’s List in his first five semesters, and the President’s List in his final semester. Throughout Law School, Ross also clerked part time with a large defense firm and was proudly an Articles Editor for the Prestigious South Carolina Law Review-Journal. In the classroom, Ross earned multiple academic accolades, including the CALI Award in Employment Discrimination, and being named “Champion” in his Legal Research, Analysis, & Writing class. After law school, Ross practiced as a Defense Attorney for several years with Turner Padget Graham & Laney, P.A. in Columbia, where he litigated hundreds of cases statewide and won every jury trial he tried. In 2021, Ross returned to his roots, moving back to the Grand Strand with his daughter to join DuRant Law, partnering with his father and brother. Now, as Managing Partner, Ross is committed to providing clients with the highest level of advocacy in achieving their legal goals, no matter how big or small those might be.
