Woody and Ross DuRant, both proud alumni of St. James High School, have long been dedicated to serving the Grand Strand area, both individually and through their firm. Their backgrounds in athletics—Woody excelling in football, basketball, baseball, and tennis, and Ross in football, basketball, and tennis—instilled in them the principles of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, which they now bring to their professional and community endeavors.
The DuRants have actively participated in numerous outreach programs, reflecting their deep commitment to giving back. Since its inception, they have been involved in the Blessing of the Inlet, a cherished local tradition that celebrates faith, heritage, and community spirit. Their dedication to service also extends to their work with the Salkhatchie Summer Service program, where they spent a combined eight years helping rebuild homes in rural South Carolina, making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
Woody DuRant’s decade-long involvement with the Murrells Inlet Rotary Club is another testament to his commitment to service. In 2018, he was elected Rotary Club President, where he played a leadership role in community initiatives, including organizing the club’s Annual Flounder Tournament, a key fundraising event. His service on the Board of Directors for Wachesaw Plantation Club and DuRant Law’s active membership in the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce further demonstrate a broader dedication to strengthening the region’s business and civic landscape. Similarly, Ross DuRant served on the Property Owners Association Board at Wachesaw Plantation in 2023-24, helping guide community initiatives and improvements.
Both Woody and Ross are also deeply involved in their local church and continue to take on leadership roles within their community.
