David & Woody Durant

Meet Our Attorneys

David DuRant

Licensed in the state of South Carolina since 1983, David DuRant is one of the longest practicing attorneys in Surfside Beach SC, starting his practice here in 1984. His primary practice areas are Civil Litigation, Real Estate, and Probate. Coined the “Bulldog” for his persistence, tenacity and loyalty, these qualities have become the essence of The Law Offices of N. David DuRant & Associates culture.

David has appeared before multiple South Carolina Courts including Municipal Court, Family Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, Court of Common Pleas, General Sessions, Administrative Law Court, Workers’ Compensation Claims Court, South Carolina Court of Appeals, South Carolina Supreme Court and United States Bankruptcy Court as well as trying cases in Federal District Court in Florence and Charleston County. He represented the Town of Surfside Beach for 22 years and is, and has been, the Attorney for the Town of Pawleys Island since 1996.

David is a member of the Murrells Inlet Rotary Club, a board member of the South Strand Chamber of Commerce, a member of the South Carolina Bar, and both Horry County and Georgetown County Bars

Woody DuRant

Licensed in the state of South Carolina since 2014, Woody’s practice areas include Civil Litigation, Real Estate, Wills, Trusts & Estates and Criminal Defense. Known for being understanding, hardworking and intelligent, Woody is the quintessential neighborhood attorney. Born and raised in Murrells Inlet and a former St. James Shark, Woody graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Clemson University and Charleston School of Law. He is a member of the Murrells Inlet Rotary Club and Belin United Methodist Church.

Woody is a current member of the South Strand Chamber, South Carolina Bar, Horry County Bar, and Georgetown County Bar. He has appeared in front of the following courts: Municipal Court, Family Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, Court of Common Pleas, Administrative law court, Workers’ Compensation Claims Court, South Carolina Court of Appeals, South Carolina Supreme Court. Woody is also the Local Prosecutor for the Town of Pawleys Island.

Ross DuRant

Licensed in the state of South Carolina since 2018, Ross’s practice areas include all aspects of Civil Litigation, including personal injuries, slip and falls, product liability, car accidents, and much more. Ross was born and raised in Murrells Inlet, where he was a former St. James Shark, excelling in football, basketball, and tennis, as well as in the classroom. Ross went on to graduate Cum Laude from Clemson University, after obtaining a perfect 4.0 GPA to land himself on the President’s List seven out of his eight semesters. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, as well as a minor in Psychology.

Ross went on to graduate Cum Laude from South Carolina School of Law, landing himself on the Dean’s List in his first five semesters, and the President’s List in his final semester. Ross was an Articles Editor for the Prestigious South Carolina Law Review-Journal for all three years of Law School. During his time in law school, Ross also received the Cali Award in Employment Discrimination and was named “champion” of his Legal Research, Analysis, & Writing Class.

After graduating from Law School, Ross practiced law in Columbia for 3 years as a Defense Attorney for Turner Padget Graham & Laney, P.A. Ross litigated hundreds of cases throughout the state and has won every jury trial he has tried. He has since moved back to the beach with his daughter and has joined forces with his dad and brother.

Stacy Darroch - Paralegal

A paralegal with the Law Offices of N. David DuRant & Associates, since 1988, Stacy’s primary practice area is Real Estate. Knowledgeable, professional and kind, clients appreciate her for her excellent service.

J. Lynn Jordan - Paralegal

In the legal field since 2003, Lynn’s primary focus is Civil Litigation, Workers’ Comp, and Family Law. Known for being knowledgeable, reliable and compassionate she enjoys assisting clients with their needs and ensuring a complete resolution to their case. Lynn is a Notary for the State of SC

Terri Fullwood - Paralegal

A paralegal with the Law Offices of N. David DuRant & Associates since 1992, Terri’s primary focus is on Real Estate.  She has been in the Socastee area since 1977, a graduate from Socastee High School and an active member of Forestbrook Baptist Church.

Gladys Oranga - Paralegal

Born and raised in the Philippines, Gladys came to the US in 2002 and has worked in the legal field for the last sixteen years. As a litigation paralegal, she plays an important role in assisting our attorneys with research work and trial preparation. She is knowledgeable, analytical, and task-orientated. In her spare time, she enjoys shooting pool and going to the movies.

Christina B. Judge - Paralegal

A paralegal since 2007, Christina’s primary focus is on Probate, Estate Litigation, Estate Planning and Criminal Defense. She is known for being professional and attentive. Christina graduated with her Associate in Arts and as a Paralegal Specialist from Horry Georgetown Technical College. She is an active member of the Myrtle Beach community, volunteering with the Myrtle Beach Marathon and American Heart Association and has been active in her church youth activities.
